ABOUT PEARL WOLF
Pearl Wolf divides her time
between New York City and Southampton, NY. She has two sons,
as well as three charming grandsons. Before she retired, she
was director of Retiree Programs for The United Federation
of Teachers, a NYC Teacher Center Specialist on Staten Island,
a Reading Coordinator in East Harlem, a school librarian and
an educator who has taught on every level from elementary
school to colleges and universities. She loves to play duplicate
bridge in the city, on Long Island and at tournaments.
Pearl has become a Bridge Life Master at last.
She is the author of four books
for children; GORILLA BABY, GRIZZLY, GRIZZLY BEAR GROWS UP
(Scholastic, Inc.) and MYSTERIOUS CREATURES FROM OUTER SPACE
(CPI, Inc.) In addition, she has written numerous professional
publications, including: Random House “Reading House Series”;
“Parents and Reading”; “The Writing Process”; “The
Retiree Handbook”; “The Superwoman Syndrome”; “Stress
Management”; “How To Be A Teacher Author”.
Currently, she's working on a historical Regency romance series with
a writing partner. Also in the works are a contemporary
romance and a sequel to SONG OF MIRIAM.
Pearl has been an entertaining and knowledgeable speaker to large
groups for many years.
She has been honored as Woman
of the Year by the Coalition of Labor Union Women, and by the
YMCA as a Woman of Achievement. Pearl is active in several
writers’ organizations including Mystery Writers of
America; Romance Writers of America and NYC Sisters in Crime (past
president).
