ABOUT PEARL WOLF

Pearl Wolf divides her time between New York City and Southampton, NY. She has two sons, as well as three charming grandsons. Before she retired, she was director of Retiree Programs for The United Federation of Teachers, a NYC Teacher Center Specialist on Staten Island, a Reading Coordinator in East Harlem, a school librarian and an educator who has taught on every level from elementary school to colleges and universities. She loves to play duplicate bridge in the city, on Long Island and at tournaments.   Pearl has become a Bridge Life Master at last.

She is the author of four books for children; GORILLA BABY, GRIZZLY, GRIZZLY BEAR GROWS UP (Scholastic, Inc.) and MYSTERIOUS CREATURES FROM OUTER SPACE (CPI, Inc.) In addition, she has written numerous professional publications, including: Random House “Reading House Series”; “Parents and Reading”; “The Writing Process”; “The Retiree Handbook”; “The Superwoman Syndrome”; “Stress Management”; “How To Be A Teacher Author”.   Currently, she's working on a historical Regency romance series with a writing partner.  Also in the works are a contemporary romance and a sequel to SONG OF MIRIAM.

Pearl has been an entertaining and knowledgeable speaker to large groups for many years.   She has been honored as Woman of the Year by the Coalition of Labor Union Women, and by the YMCA as a Woman of Achievement. Pearl is active in several writers’ organizations including Mystery Writers of America; Romance Writers of America and NYC Sisters in Crime (past president).

Pearl would love to hear from her readers.  Email her at pearl.wolf@verizon.net.
